WATER MANAGEMENT
2006-2009

Water For Humanity provides a clean, safe and sustainable water supply for rural villages preventing the contamination of diseases.

The program brings clean water and hygiene training to rural villages through out Ghana and Bolivia.


Chiquitania Region of Eastern Bolivia

The Bolivia Project provided India Mark II manual water pumps, along with parts and tools for four municipalities with 200 rural communities and assisted communities in establishing a long term pump maintenance program by training 15 pump repair technicians.

Ghana 1
The Ghana 1 Project provided a clean, safe and sustainable water supply for rural villages in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The project provided 14 new wells, 6 refurbished wells, 4 latrine systems and 11 new water, and 1 rain harvest system was installed to in a school in Poano. A water and sanitation committee was established to oversee the management of the water and sanitation systems.

Project successfully installed 4 mechanical bore hole wells with water distributed over 4 kilometers within the community of Damongo.

A water and sanitation committee was developed through an intensive

program for selected candidates, which taught the various health concerns surrounding the handling and distributing of water, the administration of the distribution process, the establishment of a pricing policy covering water use, and the maintenance and security of the water facilities.
